Simon Kafmann is aspiring and curious designer specialized in Product- & Transportation Design. After his Bachelor degree in product design at FH Joanneum in Graz (Austria) he continued his studies in the Master Programme of Fine Arts in Transportation Design in Umeå (Sweden). Fascinated by Italian sport cars his interest in car design started already at young age. With his projects done during his studies and internships he is seeking for innovation and new solutions to shape the future in the rapidly changing mobility industry. During his work experience at MINI, BMW and VOLVO he could gather a lot of experience in the automotive industry and was awarded at the “Festival Automobile International” with the 1st price of the “Young Designer Award” in 2019 in the exterior design category. He is currently working as a freelancer for various companies and studios in the areas of product- and transport design, app development and architecture.
