Carriera

Matteo Moretti works as researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bolzano where he co-­founded the visual journalism research platform and organized the first Unibz Visual Journalism Summer school. Presently he is PhD student at the Inter-Action Department of Computer Science of Trento. Before he worked in the web and motion industry at the MTV Italia studio partner Erazero, in Milan. His passion for the cross-­media, brought him to experiment and work in the most hybrid fields of design such as generative design and interactive videos, and lastly in analog data visualisation. Matteo Moretti investigates how design, data visualisation and journalism can merge in a new effective form of storytelling in order to provoke attitude change among small communities on social topics. His last work "People's Republic of Bolzano" has been awarded with the Data Journalism Award 2015.
